Digital Catapult, in partnership with the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult and Ørsted, a global leader in offshore wind, has announced it is unlocking deep tech innovation in offshore wind through collaboration with two UK innovators. AIM Group and Entopy were selected through the Digital Innovation Challenge to adapt and enhance existing digital and AI solutions, with the aim of strengthening offshore wind operations and maintenance (O&M) and equipping the UK industry to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
A planned network outage threatened to halt operations at an onshore wind farm in Scotland, so engineered energy and temperature solutions provider Aggreko says it stepped in to supply a rapid, low-emission hybrid energy solution to keep all 13 turbines protected and performing.
RWE has announced it has confirmed a further contract with Vestas, to supply offshore wind turbines to its Vanguard East project, which is being constructed in the UK. A previous announcement in February 2026, saw RWE award Vestas a similar deal for its Vanguard West project.
